I just got my entire LJ -from 07/20/2004 to 08/24/2009- backed up thanks to the "Method One" instructions through This Link. It's way better than I thought it would be. You can browse and search your entries, and there are plugins that come with the program which do a variety of things. The one among those I found most interesting was the

I will miss hearing from you on LJ, as that's pretty much the only place I ever see you outside of real life : ) It's nice to be able to keep in touch during the times we're too busy to hang out, and without having to pick up the phone (I have never been especially big on talking on the phone). But of course that's just my two cents and you gotta do what you gotta do ^_^

Online vs. IRL is one reason I am thinking of axing my LJ, but then again I *think* I covered that in my last post. I'm just tired of a lot of it, especially the dehumanizing factor of the internet and how it can affect IRL relationships that have any amount of interaction online.

But keep in mind I don't think I've decided one way or another yet.
