I just watched the movie Gozu aaaaaaaaand
I feel really odd now. And confused.
In a not-terrible-but-not-so-good kind of way.

But I did read the essay on the DVD and it makes much much much more sense now. Even with that, it's a pretty amusingly messed up movie.

I've determined that I have to visit the homeland one of these days to find my roots. I've lived with the culture for 19 years and I barely know anything about the country and my tagalog sucks.

And to get to know my family before I miss my chance again.
