[There's a fire burning in a little pit thanks to his own personal genius gal, and Lorne's got a drink in hand thanks to his neverending mini bar. What should be a quiet little evening on the roof is in fact one that's tinged with some worry and a little moping on his part. [She really feels for Lorne. It was likely a curse would hit during his show, but nothing this extensive, or...topical. And two days? Geez. She put a hand on his shoulder.]

And if this is anything like the last one, it'll be over by tomorrow. We should still be able to do the last show...?

[The deities ARE jerks, and- yeah, maybe she shouldn't tempt fate. She nods at the advice.]

It's not quite the same...I mean, it is New York out there right now. [wry smile] And there's no performance like ours anywhere in the City, I bet. I think we'll still draw a crowd.

Opening night went really well, didn't it? Everyone loved it. I've helped out with stage stuff before, but I've never been around to see the results.

[Lorne actually chuckles at Fred's attempt to make him feel better, just because there really wasn't much else to say about it.] I guess that's a selling point. Makes a world of difference, even!

It turned out fantastic, if I do say so myself. I'm glad you had a good time, too, honey buns. You already seem a lot better.
