I'm in a strange mood. One of my good friends just got engaged today, and I'm absolutely THRILLED for her. They've been together for a little over 3 years, and she's wanted this for awhile. They're moving to Oklahoma together (for him to go to grad school) in about a week, and now they'll be going as an engaged couple. Again, so happy for her.. but

blah...I sorta feel the same way (though I haven't been in a relationship since high school and have only dated a few times during college)...I was inviting people to my grad party and saw all these last names I didn't recognize...because people I knew were getting married! I think musicians tend to be the last people to get married because we have to go through grad school and all that stuff. My cousin (not a musician) was with her bf for 10 years before they even got engaged...because he wanted to have the ring completely paid off before he gave it to her. awww.

The best was today when someone wrote on her facebook wall: "Congrats!! (EVERYONE and their mom is getting engaged!)". Ouch!

But you are right.. the grad school stuff makes things more complicated. We won't be in the same place again for at least 2 years.

yup...and that definitely sucks. But think of all the people (uh, me) who aren't in an awesome relationship...or any for that matter! lol! I mean it doesn't really bother me deep down bc I'm such an independent person that I don't think I could handle a major relationship right now...but it's still weird to see everyone getting married. People from my grade in high school even have kids now!
