I guess the best way is to just be okay with the fact that we all make our own idiosyncratic mistakes. He is making his, and as much as it would be great if you could force him not to, it would just push him farther away.

I hope the friendship can grow strong while the feelings grow weak. When they find a balance you'll have an amazing thing indeed: a true friend.

I thought about this last night after him and I had a long talk..and Im really excited to see where things go as friends. :) youre right though and there will be a balance somewhere down the line. I just have to be patient and give it time
