A/N: Late entry for the "I see dead people" challenge at ar_drabbles and was written just so I could write a sequel to it for this week's challenge. Thanks to nixmom for her input.
“He isn’t very appealing, physically I mean.” Richard eyed Adama with arrogant disinterest. Laura ignored his pointed stares.
“He looks like he’s been in one bar fight too many,” he surveyed the scars on Bill’s face. All Laura saw were the startling blue of his eyes.
Bill neatly folded the dress pants and blouse, which she had left crumpled on the floor. Her latest treatment had depleted her of the strength to complete such a simple task. He lay them by the night table next to his rack. He readjusted the blanket over her weakened frame before placing a gentle kiss to her cheek.
“I’ll be right here if you need me,” his raspy voice assured her. Laura nodded.
Richard paced irritably in front of the rack. He just couldn’t understand what Laura saw in this grizzly bear of a man.
“He isn’t even frakking you, is he?” His crude words did not reach Laura. She was too absorbed in the warmth of Bill’s rack, in the sweetness of his chaste kiss.
“What does he have that I didn’t?” Richard stood directly in front of the rack.
Laura smiled at Bill, who was settling in for the night on his couch.
“Everything.”
