A/N: My attempt to explain away Laura's missing/newly acquired wardrobe.
“This is new,” Bill said as he eyed Laura’s black shirt appreciatively.
Men; they were so predictable sometimes.
“One of my staff found it for me, my green blouse has a gash in the side,” she said mournfully; she had loved that blouse.
“It’s pretty,” he offered sincerely as he drew her close enough to nudge her nose with his. “I really, really like it.”
“I am sure that you do,” she said dryly.
“It makes your eyes stand out,” he said with near-perfect conviction.
“My eyes, huh?” She glanced down at the slightly risqué neckline, and then back up to him, smirking when she noticed that his eyes had not left the neckline of her new top. She cleared her throat and he looked up at her, unabashedly smiling at the fact that he had been caught.
“Just make sure that you’re focused on my eyes during the press conference today?”
His promise of obedience was murmured half-heartedly. She sighed, rolling her eyes at him lovingly.
He leaned forward and placed a warm, lingering kiss over the top of her left breastbone.
He would focus on the rest of her, (her body, her heart, her soul) tonight.
