Summary: Unapologetic domestic fluff with Sharon, Andrea, and Rusty.
Sharon rolled over and shivered; she flung her arm out across the mattress and grumbled when her hand collided with empty mattress. She huffed and opened her eyes irritably to find Andrea’s side of the bed empty. Deciding that it was completely unacceptable to find herself alone in their bed, on a Sunday morning no less, she sat up in bed, resolved to go in search of her partner. Fortunately for her, she didn’t have to look far, she located her very much missed partner engaged in a downward dog stretch on their yoga mat, on the floor next to their bed.
“Why are you all the way down there?” Sharon asked amusedly.
“My back is killing me,” Andrea groaned as she carefully rearranged herself in a sitting position. “I thought stretching it might help. Rusty is up already and playing that racing game again on that damn PS3 in the living room. So I had to set the mat up here.” She brushed her messy waves out of her face and smiled up at Sharon.
Sharon chuckled. “Are you still bitter that he beat you in that game?” she teased. Andrea was adorably competitive sometimes; it never failed to endear her even more to Sharon.
“Hardly,” she huffed. Last weekend Andrea’s eldest brother and his family had come over for dinner; after their meal Rusty had challenged both Andrea and her two nephews to a game of Mario Kart. Never one to refuse time spent with her boys, Rusty included, Andrea had spent the entire evening trying desperately to win a game against one of the game-savvy teenagers.
“Get up here and I’ll make your back feel better,” Sharon purred as she scooted over on the mattress.
Andrea grinned. “Actually, I think you’re kind of the reason why I’m all sore,” she said, making sure to pout and bat her eyelashes at Sharon as she climbed back into bed.
Sharon’s hand crept under Andrea’s tank to tickle the skin of her lower back as Andrea sat in Sharon’s lap and kissed along Sharon’s forehead. This was much better than waking alone.
“Is that so?” Sharon asked softly.
Andrea nodded pathetically. “I think you should kiss it better,” she suggested.
Sharon nuzzled Andrea’s neck and chuckled softly. “Anywhere else I should kiss better?” she teased.
Andrea waggled her eyebrows and grinned. “Well now that you mention it…”
“Morning, you two up?” Rusty’s muffled voice and knock sounded through their door.
Sharon laughed silently into Andrea’s cleavage. Kids. It didn’t matter if they were foster children or biological children, some things just never changed.
“Yeah,” Andrea called out.
“Okay. I just got off the phone with Charlie and Justin. They’re coming by in like half an hour, so you might want to get out of your pajamas and get a few races in before they show up Andrea,” Rusty said.
Andrea bit her lip and looked at Sharon guiltily. Losing against her nephews and Rusty once was embarrassing enough, losing against them two weekends in a row was simply unacceptable and was going to be avoided at all costs.
“Go,” Sharon sighed. “You need all the help you can get,” she said seriously.
Andrea kissed Sharon as she hoped out of bed again and located a comfortable pair of jeans to change into. “You know, after the kids leave…” she trailed off suggestively and shot Sharon a smoldering look.
Sharon fixed the sheets on the bed and rearranged the pillows before coming to stand next to Andrea in front of their dresser. She placed her hands on Andrea’s now jean-clad hips and kissed Andrea’s shoulder.
“If you manage to win one game against the boys, I’m all yours tonight,” Sharon said teasingly.
“And if I don’t?” Andrea pouted.
Sharon pinched her hip and chuckled. “Better get practicing then, Champ.”
