Apparently, I never get tired of Sharon/Andrea origin stories. This was so fun, so delightful, so indulgent, and such a great way to cap my reading tour of your Rador/Hobbs fics. I'm now all caught up and have read everything you've posted! :)

I wish sharon_ray had a birthday every month! ;)

Also, as someone who is chemically sensitive, I was surprised and appreciative to read your line, "Andrea never really cared for expensive fragrances; in fact she used mostly unscented products herself as a courtesy to those who were sensitive to fragrances." Thanks for deciding to make this character thoughtful towards people like me. :)

Out of curiousity, is this a page out of RL? Do you know folks you become sick from the chemicals in fragrances?

Out of curiousity, is this a page out of RL? Do you know folks you become sick from the chemicals in fragrances?

I have a few friends and coworkers who are fragrance-sensitive so when I am with them, I stick with just my scented deodorant and scented lotion as to not overwhelm them and they're okay with that. But should they find that too much I'd stick with just the scented deodorant. Otherwise I do normally wear perfume, but just a spritz on my wrists and a sprits on my neck. I am not, nor can I tolerate, people who bathe in fragrance. Like, drowning in perfume is not a supplement to showering! *head-desk*

Haha; it's true that perfume/cologne are not a hygiene replacement. :)

I lived in Thailand for two years and found that it is so hot and muggy that people use fragrances more than in North America. There's no way to shower enough to keep sweat completely at bay. ;)

I even had Thai friends who carried around little bottles of scented chemicals that they sprayed up their nostrils throughout the day to cover up the smell of their surroundings. Sensitive or not, I don't think that is healthy for anyone.

I'm in the process of trying to secure an apartment and then move, plus it's WorldPride in Toronto (yay!) so unfortunately I haven't anything in the works just yet. Though as soon as I am settled once more, I shall definitely get back to writing because I truly miss writing this lovely pairing! I'm also hopeful that others will write them as well, I don't get the same satisfaction out of reading my own fics as I do reading other people's fics, lol.

Oh no! That sounds awful, lol. Muggy air and sweat and overdosed fragrances...yuck, lol. But I am sure that Thailand itself was a beautiful place, I have friends who have lived/travelled there as well and they loved their time there.
