Well... I'm hardly an expert... but from what I've heard over the years, Kent is a middle-rank British school. Not top of the barrel, but very far from the bottom as well. I suppose, like most schools, it depends on the area of study.
Now as far as I know, all British schools are held in high regard around the world... some more than others of course, but generally higher than Canadian and most American schools.
I'm sorry I don't have anything more specific, I've been out of that loop for a few years. :)
I am assuming you meant the University of Kent, in the UK, and not Kent State University in the US... LOL. Must remember to check these things before I start to talk, LOL.
Recently David T. told me that he was taking a course in Renaissance Astrology. I got the impression that it was at least mainly correspondence. He is really enjoying it. I'm not sure if you are on speaking terms with him or not. If not and if you are interested, I can find out more info for you from him.
I'm wondering specifically if it is _at all_ comparable to an Ivy League School.
Nope. To be honest, I never knew it existed. It's in Canterbury (Although it seems to have campuses all over the place), which is rather quaint but... well, I'd reserve going there for daytrips if you get my meaning ;)
Oh, might I add, in the UK we're not so inclined to tier like they do in the states, unless it's "Oxbridge". I would definitely check it out fully before you go, a decent library is a most underrated thing...
I also noticed the course itself is in Tonbridge. I guess you won't have any distractions from your studies.... ;)
