I'm pretty sure that Degrassi would not be swayed about making him straight because they were afraid of what people think. They have had gay characters since Season 2 why would they stop now?

It also pisses me off that writers on tv shows can always make straight people gay all of a sudden but the second someone who is gay turns straight then its something bad. This isn't a setback in gay liberation. Really in this case its just poor writing.
