I know it's a bit silly, but I am sad about the demise of the weather site my-cast.com. It had been my go to website when I wanted to know what today or tomorrow's weather would be. I've been using it for something like 10 years. It has a nice simple UI. At the top of the page was a static weather map, with a play button to show you an animated

Sorry for the bad news... I've never heard of the site until now, sadly, but it sounds cool.

I'm fond of forecast.io. It's particular optimized for smartphone users who want to know "what's it going to do for the next hour", but they also include forecast for the next several days. No radar images, though - I still use wunderground for that.

If I remember correctly, you've now got an iPhone. You might want to look at Dark Sky, I like it now.

I have a Sony Xperia Z3C Android phone. It's a nice phone with a modestly sized screen.

"Dark Sky" doesn't seem to be available for Android. But since I spend most of my time at my PC, I'd looking for replacement website.

On my phone, I will occasionally use the Weather Underground app, but for a quick check of the weather, I used to visit the my-cast site on my phone (I see little need to download an app if the website works fine on the phone).

I am saddened too. I dont understand why. Their my-cast app hasnt been updated in years and doesnt look so great on the iphone anymore but their desktop website was excellent. I wish I knew where they got their radar from.
