I don't mean to be one of those people who post news stories all over my blog, but I just found out that David Foster Wallace committed suicide, and this makes me sad. Full story on most news outlets, I'm not going to do the work for you.

I'm really wishing it were a hoax now. He was one of the few people I had a real desire to meet in person some day. Totally selfish reason, but I suppose this is the case of any famous person/fan relationship.

I didn't know who he was, and when I looked him up, I realized I have "Brief Interviews with Hideous Men" in my pile of unread -things given to me by friends as recommended reading-. No idea who gave it to me.
