i was talking tonight with mishakitty78 about being comfortable here. i'm really very comfortable; on almost all counts i consider my current life a success. there are a few things i want to work on (being on time, being more sociable, commiting to some kind of school thing), sure, but over all i feel like i'm happy and contributing positively to the world.

In my little opinion, it's a good thing. I say enjoy it.

Also, we're listening to the same rain.

Awwwwwww!

:) i am. just some creeping bits of doubt sneak in now and again.

btw, i missed you at karaoke this week. i tore up some "like a prayer", man, let me tell you. "complicated" was a bit less successful though.

If you bust out the Avril, it can't be a bad thing. I speak from experience.

I guess all I can think of is....

Actually thinking about the world and YOUR influence, YOUR significance is the most important. Making conscious decisions is the only way. Your doing great friend!

By the way....I no longer get an e-mail when you respond. So if you want me to know...you've got to e-mail me.

If you feel something's lacking in your life, and you don't want to fulfill that void because it might upset your comfort level, then comfort can be stagnating. But you've never struck me as the sort that allows themselves to stagnate anyway. My guess is you're doing fine.

i don't know where you got that image, but it's amazing. you rock. :) i wish i could find a bunch of ribbons and leave them on people's door steps - it's a nice alternative to junk mail about social security and dominoes specials.

You already know my thoughts ::grin:: (it was, btw, very nice to chill with you. sorry i was sooo sleepy - i find that i'm much more tired after slow days)

Remember, too, that just because you're comfortable doesn't mean that you will always be so. Things can change in an instant - often unexpectantly. Sometimes it is nice to be in a place that is 'home' for when change comes it's a bit easier when you're in a place that's familiar and known.

But I can also understand the want to forge into the great wide open.

i wish i didn't have that dixie chicks song "wide open spaces" stuck in my head now. :)

we'll see how it goes, eh? if things at el museo go well then the summer will be relaxing and happy and i can't imagine a more idyllic situation. i think that might be part of what's making me nervous - it all seems perfect. almost too perfect....

please imagine some sort of twisted conspiracy theory here.

damn you, now its' stuck in my head. (and sorry i just only saw that you repled). and id never expect any comfort from job related things, but then ive had my world turned upside down on that end so i just go, put in my 8 hours, leave any crud and stress at the door and walk out to my own happy lil world.

to my knowledge, youre safe near any grassy knolls.

I think if it gets tooooo perfect, you ought to come live in DC near me. Yes, yes, that is my advice.

:) thanks for the package, you! my only disappointment in it was that it did not include your CURRENT ADDRESS.

*ahem*

but i'm glad to see you made it somewhere in one peice, and found internet access to boot! are you actually in DC now? how's the moving going? does it feel like home yet? are you going to disown your less politically aware florida friends and family?
