this whole hurricane business. i guess we'll find out in the morning whether
a. we're doomed b. el museo will remain open c. whether these two things may, in fact, be related
oy vay. keep me posted on your plans, eh? if you head east, we could follow one another and at least enjoy staring at each other's bumpers for 4 or so hours.
dear god...i must have had the 'hi. i would REALLY love it if you were a. drunk and b. came up and touched me or c. hit on me by d. falling on me' sign on me or something. it sucked. we cut out quickly as brian came very close to liberally applying kungfu to one of the drunken fratboy types. bleh. they were horrible! i couldn't even dance - it would've been nice to have you there to sneer at them with me...
:( not so thrilling a prospect. i'm so glad you saw the peacock, though - even if it's not a promise of health and wealth from the almighty, it's still a sign that the earth is more beautiful and mysterious than we can fathom.
be safe, heather. i'll be thinking about you and yours. :)
I don't think we'll probably be making plans until Friday at the earliest. I did fill up the gas tank, though once again it took me forever to find a place that wasn't either out of gas or had a line of seventy billion people. Seriously, I'm not idling the car for half an hour to fill it up; I burn less gas with the short drives to and from Jeffry's. ;)
Anyway, stay safe, and we'll see ya on the other side of it. :)
hey babe - realize that the storm timetable of doom has been moved back...now supposed to hit like late monday...
work update is they have NO FREAKING CLUE as to what they're doing (surprise surprise), so we won't know if we're on for the weekend til today or tomorrow...they WILL close, supposedly, if a warning is in effect so i suppose we'll see...
i'll be leaving either fri or sat, depending on the timetable, if i do go...it shouldnt be too late if we leave late at night (like midnight)...brian has to shut down all the pools first and then we'll take off with the cats and scalies to arrive at my parents house and hunker down with them...other than that, not many other plans
hey - just got a call from the new employer in Boynton. They've already battened down the hatches and are closing for the next few days. I'm going to start there on Tuesday, though - provided they have power. I'll be coming back on Friday for the halloween event - we should see if we can plan to hang out next weekend, though.

Is it sick that I'm excited about that?
take care and good luck - hopefully it won't be any more than an excuse to shirk work for a day or so. :)
