so i have to ask...do you think there's any way you could talk to a psychiatrist/psychologist instead of taking mental health advice from someone who diagnoses you in less than a minute?
the drugs will likely help, don't get me wrong, but they won't really fix anything. They'll just give you the extra kick you need to be able to do things that actually improve your life.
also, it's hard not to love someone who cares for you and shows it (i'm assuming), especially when you're down. the trick is what you do with that love.
A little bit of common sense would help too. It is not prudent to walk around with an infection for an extended period of time, and you know that. You are the most important person when it comes to your physical and mental welfare, just remember to take care of yourself, no matter what the cost. You owe it to yourself.
