If you could only peel the layers of deep-rooted dysfunction of my being, only then will you understand the true meaning of my brown skin. I still have a million mistakes to make and only learn a hundred lessons from them. I must admit i really haven't read much on the different philosophers, so i don't really know if i can pose a good response to this entry. Though a lot of the bs that i write tends to ask philosophical questions, i suppose i really haven't done much in trying to see what other great men and women have found. Hell i've only even taken one course on philosophy in college so far, and i really didn't like it. Most of it was the teachers fault i suppose. She was the most boring professor i've had in long time. And i've had pretty boring ones. But even that isn't an excuse. In her class i only did what i had to in order to pass the class. My motivation from the very beginning wasn't really for education, just to merely get by. I think i would like to change my perspective a little before i try that again.

Still i suppose that is why i look for people whos journal entries are thoughtfull and philosophical to some extent. I like to surround myself with questions. Interesting.

Sam

Kant may have decoded the Metaphysics of Morals in that moral truths are not received from on high through divine revelation or inspiration but rather, they are based on reasons that make sense to all people (indeed, all rational beings) who bother to think about them.

man, if only everyone was able to sit down, have some popcorn and understand the true meaning of that statement.

In this young life, muddled with bouts of egocentricity

i haven't had the pleasure of reading Ayn Rand, but from what i've read in ur entry, it sounds like she is pro-egocentricity? i mean, from personal experiance and recent bouts myself with my own ego, i find it healthy to have a strong ego. it's only when it consumes u that it become dangerous. i guess it's like tap dancing on thin ice with cinder block tap shoes.
