god, i hated borat, this disgusting pile of non-pc shit. 5 euros well wasted. transanerica however, although i saw like 5 months ago, i loved. more people just need to do what they want to and feel like is best for them. björks movie i found kinda artsy, which doesn't mean it was bad.
good luck to u with your exams, i'm sure ur gonna do fine if just study hard enough.
Thank you. Borat was terribly un-PC, I agree. But it hard to escape humour like that. I got the impression that it was actually mocking Americans more than Borat/Kazakstan.

Hi, Maiki! Yes, I of course I remember you. It was great meeting you. I'm not sure if it's a bad thing or not but Borat really just confirmed my stereotypes that I already had of Americans. Eg. That racist rodeo owner who wanted to kill all gay people, or whatever it was. I think a lot of people, at least in NZ, associate that sort of attitutude with that part of America. Having said that, it isn't exactly fair to pick on, and perhaps perpetuate stereotypes for Kazakstan (the little guy), but I'm sure that almost all audiences would be aware that it was completely farcical... which, you're right, don't make it tasteful. On the other hand, one could argue that it is funny BECAUSE it makes fun of sterotypes that already exist. Look at a huge amount of humour in the media... it's hugely based on stereotypes, or at least mocking other nationalities. But that depends on your own subjective opinion of what's funny. These are my thoughts anyway. I hope all is going well in Germany. Peace.
