I'm really excited to start cooking for Thanksgiving and I'm hating having to wait...

I wish I was cooking too, as opposed to going to my Dad's to eat his wife's terrible cooking. I am making Potato Stuffing of Pure Evil, but not the whole thing.

It's so exciting! I have a pecan pie in the oven and a pumpkin ready to go...

I got to use my new one of these for the first time, too:

I have begged Spike and Daisy for one of these (in red!) for my birthday. :)

(Of course, I actually want it before my birthday so I can be baking extraordinaire for the holidays).

*grin* I watched the refurbished units on amazon.com like a hawk waiting for a color I could live with.

The pistachio matches the trim in my kitchen nicely. :)

I actually got it because every year that I make my Vovó's stuffing, I remember that it requires a meat grinder and I'd rather just get the meat grinder attachment for the mixer.

You know, I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving with my family, but at the same time, I wish I could come over! It sounds like it will be great. :)

I get to use for the first time my All Clad stainless steel pots and pans for my Thanksgiving preparations.

I am starting the prep work tonight, blanching, slicing and rolling.
