Remember when I said that my blood samples were alright when at my parents home and it just went back to abnormal AST/ALT levels when I got back to my appartement? Well, I requestionned my diet and I found out that I rarely ate microwaved food at my parents and I do use the microwave 1 or 2 times each day at my appartment. Coincidence ( Read more... )

Some people also believe that microwaving food changes its energy structure which can be bad for you, but there's absolutely no physical evidence to support that.

Hm... energy. I really should go more often on www.astralpulse.com

Energy structure sounds already so etheric that mostly no serious scientists will try to prove it scientificly.

I think we're trying to be brainwashed over here about it, telling us not to have such food, then they'll say that something else we do is bad.

I don't know about it being bad for you -- but I've definately heard the food is less good for you once it's been through the microwave. The radiation breaks down some of the nutrients and stuff. Then again, an article linked from wikipedia says different... http://md1.csa.com/partners/viewrecord.php?requester=gs&collection=ENV&recid=3827223&q=&uid=788050938&setcookie=yes

I zee.

It's safe as long as I don't overcook the meal and optimize the exposed surface.

I have no idea if the microwave thing is true or not, but if it is, i got one more reason to justify always liking the oven/stove more. At least, for making proper foodstuff. The microwave is still better for nuking things. And making a last attempt at making food edible.

Do you eat the same food at your appartement and at the parent's place, except cooked differently? Or it's completely different foodstuff?
