thanksgiving was sufficently awkward. through my eyes, it's just putting on a fake act for people that you only see at funerals, graduations, and holidays. you always share a meal where you pretend to catch up and show off your new electronics and hairstyles. and then it concludes with a 'look how nice my house is' tour where you basically show ( Read more... )

why does this not surprise me?
why is he the most difficult man to make plans with?
why am i more civilized than him, and he's around 40 years older than me?
why do i arrange my whole day around him, expect to see him, and end up not seeing him at all.
