So, does this mean that McCain is going to be Secretary of State?

who repeatedly called me a terrorist, a socialist, and disaster for this country. But then Obama is probably a better man than I.

But, on the other hand, I don't think this campaign showed us the true McCain. Maybe, now that he no longer feels he has to pander to the arch-conservative, fear-mongering segment of the public, saying anything to get elected POTUS, just maybe McCain will go back to his pre-2006 self, the moderate with excellent foreign relations background.

Then, he might just make an excellent SoS.

Exactly. I would have voted for moderate, pre-2006 McCain. "This guy" that ran, though, is not the same person.

I think McCain would be great, but, as John said, I don't think Obama's likely to ask him, just as I don't see him offering Hillary a slot on his cabinet.

No, I think Hillary will stay in the Senate. The Demos certainly don't want to draft any Senator that they desperately need there.

I did hear one pundit say that they do expect Obama to pick 3 to 4 Republicans to serve in the Cabinet, ala Lincoln.

Obviously neither of you have watched seasons 6 and 7 of The West Wing. :)
