Title: Shopping
Prompt: "Sometimes hitting someone sounds like a very good idea."
Characters/Pairing: Amy, Thomas, Imogene
Rating: PG
Warnings: Teenage mom?
Word count: 300
Summary: Thomas and Amy are shopping in Diagon Alley, when Thomas gets distracted by oglers.

Thomas walked with Amy and Imogene down Diagon Alley. They were finishing up their Christmas shopping, and she was consulting her list while pushing the pram.

“I’ve only got Nathan’s left to find,” Amy said absently.

“So you’ve already got mine, then?” he asked teasingly.

“Of course, weeks ago.” She grinned at him, but he was distracted by a group walking by. One slowed down, glanced at Imogene, and then looked Amy up and down. Thomas had a sudden burning desire to hit the prick.

“Did you see the way that bloke looked at you?” Thomas said, his voice low but annoyed, mindful of the sleeping baby.

“Hmm?” Amy said absently as she adjusted the blanket around Imogene. She glanced up and around, then back at Thomas. “Who?”

“That bloke who just walked by with his mates,” Thomas insisted. “He looked at you like you must be easy just because you’ve got a baby.”

“Oh, not this time,” she said with a sigh. “But I’ve been noticing it a bit lately.” It would have been subtle to most, but he detected the slight note of bitterness in her tone.

He looked at her sharply. “Why haven’t you said anything?” he asked, frustration coloring his tone. If he’d known, he might have been able to do something to help her. What, he wasn’t sure, considering he was at Hogwarts most of the year, and Amy was back at home, for now at least. But it was still frustrating to know she was being bothered and he couldn’t do anything about it.

“What good would it do other than make you angry?” she replied tiredly.

Thomas blew out a breath, deflating. He slung an arm over her shoulder and pressed a kiss to her temple. “I know, I just worry about you.”
