I saw on TV that only 60% of clergy believe in virgin birth. I'm thinking they just might be in the wrong line of work...

So, they don't believe Mary was a virgin when she conceived Jesus? Gave birth to Jesus? or remained a virgin till she died?
and 60% of priests in what denomination?

I take it all with a grain of salt considering I saw it on that wacky show The 700 Club, starring the hilarious Pat Robertson...

yeah, not the most trustworthy source, but now I'm curious about 60% of what group of priests didn't believe, and what type of virgin birth they mean, you know?
Like personally, I believe in the that Jesus was conceived sans sex, and that she was virgin at least until Jesus was born... but knowing what little I know of the culture into which he was born, I seriously doubt that he was an only child...

well depending upon the type of clergy... that may or may not make sense. For example I sure hope no Jewish clergy members believe in it!

I saw the dubious factoid on the 700 Club... I doubt they have a lot of synagogues on their call lists... In fact, if it weren't for Robertson's asinine statement about Ariel Sharon's stroke, I would doubt that he even knew Jewish clergy even existed... His behavior makes me glad that I stay out of all of this, being agnostic and all...
