Actually, when making a list, the comma before "and" is indeed necessary as it can change the meaning of the phrase.

Well, sure, if you want to follow the Oxford University Press's house style. However, style guides for the The Times, The Economist and the Associated Press all see it my way...

I was taught that the comma before the "and" was or was becoming optional. my two cents.

For fucking real. What's on right now? "Ninjas for good". And the video isn't even available!
