haha. dartmouth is the one where people are never heard from again. like literally. cornell is the place where everyone kills themselves. and its in the same place as ithaca. jmu is pretty but its pretty blah too. and upenn is in the middle of west philly. supposedly people dont get shot there, but it sure looks like they do. (area around the campus..the campus is nice)

and georgetown looks like a freaking palace/castle on top of a hill. its amazing. they have grass on their rooftops

Bunch of questions to ask yourself. Do you want to go to a liberal arts school or something larger/else? Liberal arts meaning that it'll offer a 4 year degree but that's it, meaning its solely catered to undergraduates. MIT is a technical college, by far one of the best, but a technical all the same ( ... )

What a kind, considerate, and informative reply! Thank you for that!

I was referring to the University of Pennsylvania, Penn State is too big for my liking. I have to limit myself to 6 applications, so that will include 2 reach schools (Ivys) 2 target schools (I'll probably get into these) and 2 safety schools (where I'll definately get in)

I know I have a LOT of work ahead of me in terms of decision making, and right now I'm just feeling a bit overwhelmed, but its all good and I know that wherever I decide to apply/get accepted to/attend, I'll make the best of it. After all, a college will not define my life or my happiness ;]

Outside of being an ass 24/7, kind and considerate and informative is my secondary thing ( ... )

Its so funny you say that about Cornell, because that's exactly what I was thinking.. that cold winters wouldn't bother me. Haha! As to location, I've visited both UPenn and Princeton, and I instantly fell in love with Princeton. However, that is not to say that I can't picture myself living in Philly for the next four years or so. Thats another thing that makes this so hard, because I could see myself in either a city or a suburban, green-ish setting. [excluding those schools out in the middle of a field in God's Country USA]
And so.. I'm right back where I started.

I'm sure if you ever wanted to know ANYTHING about Cornell, my dad would be more than happy to inform you, being that he graduated from there in the early 70's.

Good luck, Shaina's going through the same process right now.

Wow.. I had no idea you were even still aware of my journal. I knew Kerry went to Princeton, I talked to him about it a month or so ago, but I didn't realize your dad attended Cornell. A family of geniuses.

Keep me posted on Shaina's progress, and wish her good luck for me.
How's life?

Scott went there too, actually. Life's wonderful, actually, but I gotta go work an 11-hour shift now at Sears... um.. yay..? Eh, at least it's time-and-a-half cuz it's Sunday.

Adios,
