FanFic recommendation - Star Trek: TOS alternate universe
My oldest son recommended this story to me and I *loved* it. Turns out it was written a couple of years ago, so before the newest movie release; however, I kept envisioning the characters in the story as the actors from the movie. It starts out slow, but is a really good read - I hope you all enjoy it too!

My family and pets
Just thought I'd share 2 funny photos with my LJ friends ... well, I think they're funny and hope you get a chuckle too.
First one is my hubby and his dog, Ruger, an almost-3-year-old boxer. You know that saying about dogs and their masters starting to look the same? Well, I had to giggle when I saw this one .... what do you think?

The new Doctor! Pretty Cute!
I'm sorry that David Tennant is leaving, but the 11th Doctor was announced today by the BBC and he is cute and quirky looking - 26-year-old Matt Smith. We won't get to see him until the 5th season starts in 2010, but that'll give us something ot look forward to ... that and Steven Moffat as the lead writer!
