Diatribe Against Organized Religion Specifically Christianity

I find myself having increasingly atheist leanings. Why, you ask, do I have these leanings if I was brought up in a religious environment? Foremost on my mind has been the amount of hate coming from people who follow a religion whose core tenets are peace and love and I'm not talking about Islam here. I'm talking about Christianity. Yes, most Christians that I know are very good at cherry picking verses that support their position while ignoring scriptures that contradict them as well. They also use those verses out of context. If they used them in the context of the cultures and situations of the time then their favorites in Leviticus would fall flat as they should. The one Christians love to use against gays as I have researched it was actually aimed at having the Hebrew not act like the priests of Baal whose temples they would have encountered in lands they would have passed through
