You know it's spoiler time... Don't look if you don't want to know...

I actually liked most of this, quite a lot. I don't often have issues with Rusty's writing, he's done a couple of eps I love, so that's not always a generally an issue with me. The issue is how he sometimes handles his characters and particularly for me, Rose.

There were genuinely touching parts of this, very touching, and I'm not afraid to say I cried - He had me crying during Gridlock and he did it again this time with the 'Work' camps. The horror of knowing what it really meant and the look on Alf's face as they drove them off... I was blubbing. And how fab is Bernard Cribbins, really. You can't beat him, he was wonderful.

And so was Catherine. If people still bleat about her now, they will never change her mind. The second time I cried was when she stepped out in front of the truck. You knew she was going to do it and that she knew she had to do it, to live. Donna is the girl, and with hints about her being 'tracked' since she was born, I'm still thinking we have more to learn.

So, lots to like. What didn't I like?

Rose was very odd at the beginning, but she oddly didn't irritate me to begin with. Until she then started to get into her stride and then by the time Rusty couldn't resist throwing in a 'did they or didn't they do it' moment about Rose/Ten, I was forced to shout at the telly in my normal fashion, despairing of what will happen in the future. I still say it's not going to be pretty.

Oh, and he killed Martha and SJ. This does not sit well with me, no matter it was in another timeline. No one does that to them...

All in all... it was good and I kind of enjoyed it. Apart from the obvious parts.
