Cho did not act her age! That's all I can say about that.
And I do not accept his death until I see his body! Erm, or, until JKR writes about his body... or what exactly happened to him - or did she write it and I just didn't get it?
Hell, no. Okay, she lived something traumatic, but I expected to see her a little more together, after all it was much worse for Harry. Cho's OLDER than Harry, isn't she? To me she acted like a senseless brat.
The body didn't fall and there was no explanation on why Lupin was so sure he was dead after he fell. And I want to see evidence too! Seems like it was just like seeing someone falling off a cliff - you assume they're dead because it's the most logical conclusion... but still, one chance in a million...
She also knew before that Hermione is one of Harry's best friends. If he really liked Hermione more than Cho, he wouldn't have bothered to ask Cho out. And honestly, why did she talk about Mike Corner then? Ginny acted a lot more mature than Cho and she's 2 years younger... and I really liked Ginny before, but in this book, she was just great! I knew there's a lot more to her than we saw at first :o)
So, Sirius must come back! I'm in denial about his death until I either get a better explanation or we get to know about his body!
Okay okay okay I thought of an idea! Not like it's going to help much but I just thought if Lupin had never seen anyone kiss the pavement before, we can get a clue when he sees / doesn't see the thestrals? I thought something like that would happen, and give us a clue... do you reckon the mention about the thestral's "special trait" will have any trascendence?
I can't get the book until the end of July and after, but I'm a sucker for spoilers. What I want to know is -
What is this thing I hear about Petunia (sp?) getting a Howeler???
One of my friends online mentioned it, but she refused to tell me because she said it was too funny, and I would just have to wait. She meant well, but it made me very angry, so I'm seeking a better friend. lol
After something really impressive happened to Harry and Dudley, Uncle Vernon tried to kick Harry out of the house. Suddenly, Petunia receives a howler saying "REMEMBER MY LAST..."
It's from Dumbledore, reminding her that Harry must stay in their house while he's not in Hogwarts, for it's only there that he can be absolutely safe.
I loved Luna and Tonks... Tonks is my witchy self, Especially when it comes to wanting to change appearances and such at a whim. I loved it.
I know this is going to get me a major beating... but I never really liked him, so the fact that he died didn't have me all sad and mopey *hides*
And I really really understand why Snape is so awful to Harry now... although still, you shouldn't confuse the child for the parent... which actually happened in two very different ways with Snape and Harry... and Serius and Harry
I was so disappointed on James... and I never especially drooled after Lily but this raised her very high in my appreciation. I think NOTHING, no matter what had happened, justifies the way they were mistreated Snape. If he did not possess the qualities to make one person popular at the other students' eyes, it's not his "fault" and there's nothing wrong with it. He had already suffered a great deal at home, too, or so it seems.
