I read the first one and totally misinterpreted the ending, heh. I heard the sequels are not as good so I didn't read them - what do you think?

The sequels so far have been fun. There are elements of them that are VERY frustrating, due to the fact that they are YA novels and "things" don't move as fast as they should, PLUS the majority of the second novel lacks Edward. But I've enjoyed them.

SM addresses the misinterpretation on her website. lol. I re-read it like 3 times trying to decide.

One of my husband's Aunts read the entire series because her daughter was so into them - She said she couldn't put them down. She plowed through the series right quickly.

Yep, and love them! I tried to blame it on being a middle school teacher and then just gave up and admitted to liking them. And the sequels are really good too, especially the third book!

These are so on my summer reading list! They seem like fun, light literary addiction. Like the OC, but in book form. With vampires. Or something.
