My favourite is number 5. Formal, clean lines, elegant, tad understated (you have to get close to see the strips detail). I don’t think clingy lace dresses would be ok for what sounds like a conservative wedding and reception. My second choice would be 2 because it seems like the sort of thing people wear to weddings and is a safe option. Do you happen to know what colour scheme the bridal party have? I really like 6 better than 2 for something that belongs in your wardrobe, but am mildly concerned about croc pattern not being conservative, although you can only see it up close (the shape is also more revealing). 2 is safe, 6 is you. 5 is conservative and elegant ( ... )

oh 6 is elegant too, but a bit less conservative than 5.

First a disclaimer: it's *me*, and secondly a reminder: you did ask.

From the top:
1. Yes, safe, easy, you can accessorise to reduce the bridesmaid look. Not sure about additional wear.

2. No. Shiny is bad, but mostly it's that messy waist tie.

3. I love it. Yes.

4. Ack, no.

5. Interesting. A definite candidate and much greater potential for additional wear.

6. Maybe. Possibly a bit too killer vampish for a wedding, and you're less like to get "corporate" wear out of it later.

As for alternatives, have you looked in the upmarket second-hand designer places in Claremont et al? You'll have time to get alterations, and no guess work.

4 5 and 6 are delightful! 6 is a bit vampy and I think you could wear it again in a heartbeat. 5 has amazing straps! And 4 is really nice and attention seeking in a sexy modest way.

If I had to pick for you, I would go for 6... Hair up, smokey eyes and a natural lip and you are SMOKIN'! :)

But otherwise if you want less vampy sex kitten go for 5.

*AIR KISSES!* :D

My choice if I were recommending what to wear as I have done with many lady friends and partners over the years screams at me #6...

High back, good shape, not too much skin showing and reasonably understated plus it could be used in corporate at a pinch. Some of the others were either a bit too vampish or showed perhaps a bit too much skin which you did mention you wanted to avoid. I've seen some of your wardrobe in the past few years and I think this would be a good addition.
