The Lord is so good. and i love the Christmas season and all that it means. everyone should check out pandora's classical Christmas music station...very good indeed. And school is so crazy. What is being asked of us Che's seems impossible to manage. I feel like everyone around is so busy all the time and i don't much understand that, well, ( Read more... )

Mind me asking who you accepted a job with?

I think 50% or more of the Chem E's here have accepted with petroleum companies, so I'm just curious to know what it's like at NC State.

haha of course not :) I'm going to work for Merck pharmaceuticals! at NC State, it's pretty diverse...GE, consulting firms, chemical companies, p&g, fluor, etc! but my roomie just accepted a job with Exxon...so tons of money in that. However, i only know 2 people who have accepted their oil offers. A lot of people are waiting for the pharma companies to recruit in the spring, also. :) what are you up to?

Well I just finished all of my graduate school applications, so now I just play the waiting game!

I'm planning to get my Ph.D. and the way things are looking, most likely become a professor somewhere. My plans on a career are still pretty up in the air though.

It's strange how different recruiting is from school to school, but I'm starting to realize that it is influenced mostly by the alumni that work for the companies. Anyways, I hope you enjoy Merck. They seem like a good company to work for.
