This has happened to more than one person I know. The Mountain West has MUCH more severe and sudden winds than even western Michigan. He probably still deserved a ticket. One guy I know lost his job as a trainer for missing the wind warning signs and laying down his truck (which he owned personally).

They all deserve tickets if there were warnings, but often there is no warning. I have had to stop a few times in deserts. Companies do pressure you to be on time, but safety is a great excuse to be late. I hope this never happens to me.
