[Yuri is holding out the SFC at some distance, far enough so viewers can see he’s in the park.]

I think I’ve been here about a week now? In the span of that, I’ve kicked some pirates’ asses, done some small jobs, wandered around, and ate mocha ca-well, that’s not important. Just wondering if anyone’s up for being sentimental about the past; I ( Read more... )

[Axel looks somewhere between amused and nonplussed.]

Are you keeping a video diary, or are we just having story time? Either way, giving away free food is a quick way to make friends.

Where I come from? Hm, now there's a trick question. Which time? [Literally having a past life makes this a bit complicated.]

Haha, no, I’m not necessarily doing this to make friends. Food’s just great bait for every kind of person. I want to know what places these “other worlds” are. Some might be ordinary, and others not. Also I’m bored like hell, that counts too.

[Yuri blinks at the question, long history? The guy didn't even look that old...]

Well, whichever comes to mind first. Memorable places.

Ooh, memorable places, hm. Where do I start? I've seen probably more than my fair share of 'other worlds', you could say. I guess if I had to choose the most memorable one, though, it'd be Twilight Town. It's just a little town by the ocean, where the sun never rises or sets, it just sits on the water. Prolly doesn't sound like much, but they've got the best ice cream you'll ever taste.

[A short, bitter chuckle.] If I were inclined to miss things, I think I'd miss that place.

Twilight Town... haha, sounds like a great town to just sit back and relax. Doubt I'd stick around that kind of place for long, but I'd love to try out the ice cream if it was that great.

[A long sigh. Normally, he was more reserved about his sweet tooth, but hey, if the other guy so smoothly advertised it... Yuri shakes his head, then lightly jokes.]

What, no obligation to remember it? Ouch, that'll hurt the ice cream merchant's feelings.

Aww Yuri!~ That's so nice!

*She scowls for a moment over the SFC*

You got pushed around? Huh...that's not fair!

*She melts the expression into a smile*

I'll be there soon!

... Honestly, I wish I could do it for a more familiar crowd, but hey, I'm not going anywhere, am I?

*Yuri chuckles lightly at her exclamation*

World's not fair, but at least I didn't grow up stuffy like those so-called nobles. I think I'd die from all the rules.

Seeya, Selphie.

Still...don't you ever wonder what it would be like to grow up all rich and with people who want to protection you no matter what? Like a princess?

*Though no doubt, Yuri had no interest in ever being a princess. Prince, maybe. Princess, not so much.*

... I've met a sheltered princess. People were chasing me everywhere with her tagging along. ... But that's another story.

*After that statement, he smiled a little, thinking aloud.*

If I grew up like she did, I wonder if I'd be as good a person as her.

*Luxurious living in general was a really alien idea to Yuri. Despite his jerk tendencies, he was a selfless guy--he'd sooner donate an entire fortune than spend on himself. Never would've liked the extra attention.*

Sentimental, huh?

[ Raven grins, shaking his head. ]

I think I've given you enough sentimentality, kid.

Oh you bet. If there's anything you should remember, it's why we punched you out.

[His tone shifts to one that's semi-joking, semi-serious, somehow.]

... But on the off-chance you'll want to share how your life became a train wreck, I'm all ears. And a fist, if need-be.

[ He tries to plaster the smile onto his face, but it's not really all that successful. ]

Pretty sure you already know that story.

... And to think some wonder why I have a hard time finding people to respect.

[It's... kind of awkward both of them are trying to make light of the situation; both are having a hard time, clearly.]

Remember how I grew up with an innkeeper? People came to her to vent all the time. I doubt I'm nearly as good as her at listening--much less understanding, but... yeah, complaining might make you feel better.

[He snickers a little, just whispering to himself this time.] ... I can't believe I'm encouraging you to whine more.
