So, there's three of us, like the Three Musketeers but female and writers. 'Cause we are. We'll all get published or die trying. I'd write a little bit about how each of us fits one of the characters except I never got around to reading it (yet) and I haven't seen any of the films. I think one character's called Aramis, and that's all you're

I realised, seeing that Doctor Who character-swap concept, that the only thing that would get me watching modern Who is a lady doctor. I'm not really taking a feminist stand or anything (though I am sort of over clever British men swashbuckling through time and space) it's just that I've never had any urge to watch the new Doctors because the bits and pieces that I've seen here and there haven't really brought anything new to the table. Lady Doctor would be new!
(P.S. Athos is always my favourite, but I suspect him and his organised/leadership/ruthless stuff might actually be J. On the other hand, Aramis is almost always the best-looking one, and if we go purely by dress sense and coiffure, that's probably J. Porthos would rather drink and eat... I'll flip you for it? :D)

I have unashamedly stolen it because IT IS TRUE. Also you and The Boy have broken me for "your mum" jokes.
Hunh. That's a good point. I liked that Gaiman's ep mentioned another Time Lord who was sometimes a Time Lady, so it's officially part of the universe (he was not first in this, he says. But it's the first mention of it in New Who). But I most sincerely doubt we'll see The Doctor become a woman any time soon.
(Ooh, they sound like fascinating characters. Now I want to actually read it. Maybe if I put it on The iPad it'll actually happen. It looks like a hard decision for J re: Aramis vs Athos. Since she's so both. Maybe if we talk about writing personas (as in our habits) you're Athos due to your spectacular and dedicated output, J is Aramis (because she is pretty) and I am Porthos due to my total FAIL at wordcount. :P)
