Isn't it romantic?

"Jack and Ralph smiled at each other with shy liking."

Isn't that bromantic?  Why can't all men have this relationship?  Will lines like these continue on in the book?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA---

Bromance....in Lord of the Flies? :"D

Oh geez. Is that near the beginning? It's just gonna get better. Now I want to read it again. Why are you so good at finding subtext like this??

"...Simon stroked Ralph's arm shyly;.."

HAHAHAAHAHAH. I wasn't really thinking of anything awful, but the way the lines were phrased... it's so cute.

Nah, I'm not that great, just awkwardly reading the sentences. XD; Yes, it's at the begining, where everything seems so innocent.

...is it going to get better in a happy way then plummet downwards into paranoia? I keep getting this uneasy feeling when I read it that something really, really bad is going to happen between Jack and Ralph. I just know it.
