It's been a bit ho hum on Labor and Delivery, after running around and running around the first few weeks, I was finally getting a little confidence, then we had a week that was the doldrums, several patients from the antepartum side (the ones that are pregnant, but shouldn't be delivering and are cared for the chief and the 2nd year resident) had ( Read more... )

"Them's some good birthing genes there." That made me smile.

The infinite combination of moms and babies must make giving birth fall into the "no two snowflakes look alike" category: each experience, although similar in some ways to most others, is nevertheless unique. Which, if nothing else, means your job won't ever be dull.

certainly small compared to the toddler I delivered earlier in the day...

Gosh, someone should've asked her how long she'd been preggers!
