Stephen Fry! OMG, the man is *staggeringly* brilliant, and I mean "brilliant" as Americans tend to use it: brainy, cerebrally *talented,* a virtuoso of intellect, out-clever-ing clever the way the Virginia countryside is said to 'out England England.' And humor.

Did you know he was very nearly American? His parents were living the US just prior to his birth.

My friend met him years ago when he was Rector of her university and he was just as lovely in the flesh.
