You NEED to try this. It's not really hard at all. You just steralize everything in boiling water and go to town. Notice my cool improptu tool usage too. That jar grabber is Frank's car oil filter grabby thing :)
Yeah I've been wating too. Infact I might just do it this week. I just got paid and the rents each pitched in to give me a little money, AND biglots by my house has jars and canning sets for SUPER CHEAP.
A case of jars (12) with lids and everything is less than $7. The big thing is making sure you have a stock pot tall enough to fully immerse the jars by an inch. they can't touch the bottom or each other either. Have a little rack in the bottom of the pot so air can circulate under them or pot a dish towel at the bottom (better than nothing).
I'm all psyched about my next batch. Frank has requested blackberry jam so I need to get over to Whole Foods and find some yummy organic berries and pectin. YA!
oh my baby can cook some italian food :) sadly, he only does it every four months or so. the rest of the year I have to use store bought sauces. now I can enjoy organic italian love anytime I want.
Sadly he only does it every four months!?! Your killing me! I KNOW you don't like cleaning up the kitchen after that mess! You should try some of my sauce. I always do roasted yellow or orange bells in my sauces, and this time I'm roasting fresh tomatoes for it too.

I think I might be trying to make my own sauce one of these days. The roasted pappers sound awesome
