change of venue

After 10 years I have become sick to death of my delirium888 user id.

I created a new yahoo account under the name:

contingent_artifact

I kind of dig it.  It implies a work in process.  A being continually being formed and molded by the environment.  Subject to chance or unseen effects.  Not necessitated : determined by free choice.

Yeah, I like it.

why oh why would you still be using freemail accounts?

go spend $14 and buy your own domain for a few years -- paying like $3 a month for website space and like 500 email accounts under that domain?

that way - if you ever wanna switch over? you can just forward your old one to your new one and leave both open.

Is it really that easy to set up my own domain? I've wanted to, but I honestly don't know where to start. Give me some links.

And why are you never on AIM anymore? How can I poke you and ask you questions during the day if you don't log in? Tell that new boss of yours that the interweb misses you.

retardedly easy to set up a domain.
i use godaddy.com for all of my domain stuff.
costs like $14 to register your domain under your name (i.e. "own" it) for like 2-3 years. and then like $3 a month for someone (godaddy.com) to host it.

at my new job - instant messengers aren't allowed, sooo i merely sit on my gmail account all day. while logged in to gmail accounts - you can chat (over "google chat") to other people logged in as well. sara's on it, as well as about a half dozen friends... takes care of that real quick. i use my gmail account for 'work stuff' mostly - other than this...
