The Japanese national anthem(君が代 (Kimi ga yo)) is a funny thing. It is an old poem praising the emperor and saying he should live until small pebbels have grown into large rocks covered with moss and thats about it. It was only offically recognized as the national anthem in 1999, making it one of the worlds youngest offical national anthems. It is also one of the shortest.

If that's the case, then the age is probably counted from the age of the actual text, and not for how long it has actually been the national anthem.
