I ended up buying a pattern that is exactly that Versace dress I was obsessing over 18 months ago with the lace up bodice, and I'm doing it in a plum purple satin backed crepe. No shortcuts! If it weren't for the date that makes airfare completely unaffordable for Boy and I, I'd go. I do want to celebrate with you guys, though! How does a post-wedding party in Seattle sound? We can oogle the dress, hear about the wedding, introduce Kane to Civ, and bring you presents, of course. Are you registered anywhere?

My parents are in Seattle right now, they're supposed to meet up w/ you and give you Christine's and your birthday presents (belated of course -_-;) Mom wanted to pick up the fabric for the dress but since you're already making it... It sounds soo cool though, I can't wait to wear it!
