That was the most exciting game I've experienced in a long time. On the radio. I could hear how silent the crowd was in comparison to what they sounded like at the start of the game, and that was a victory in and of itself. My pulse was racing, I was actually yelling at the radio, and I wanted mothing more in that moment than those boys to win. Like you said, the reminder to the Patriots that they are mortal was well worth it. The Philly radio announcers said that there are no moral victories in the NFL, but I disagree.

And you'll notice that the headlines aren't "Patriots Win" but rather "Eagles Play A Hell Of A Game".

Well said man.

I do admit that I was really deflated when Feeley threw his second interception. Until that moment, I thought that they were going to pull off the upset.

Oh, I was sad when he threw it too. But here's the thing - I still believe they could have won last night, and I still believe that they could win against them in the future. And if they can beat the Patriots, they can beat anybody.

It's just too bad that they seem to be the best at beating themselves this year.

Don't get me wrong, though, I still believe . . .

I agree with this post. Even though this seems to be the best sports year Boston has ever had, which makes me happy, and even though my lack of television prevented me from seeing the game, what I read in neutral newspapers suggests that the Eagles outperformed their expectations by a wider margin than maybe any team in history. I'd be much prouder today to be an Eagles fan than I am to have the Patriots as my second-favorite team, for sure.

Yeah, you know what I loved most about this game? The Eagles didn't almost win that game because the Patriots had a bad game and played down to their competition. They almost won that game because both teams played outstanding football, and it really was a joy to watch on both sides.

I really wish we could have another shot at them. And I know Dawk does too.
