potted babies, what is this even?

Okay, so the plantsims in TS3 are pretty weird. Apparently they can turn themselves into a stick with leaves which is funny to me because I used to play WoW. That skill must come in handy for PIs ( Read more... )

Oh my god that thing is terrifying. I'm sure some people could use it in a story setting, though!

Yeah, in a horror story. I would pay to read that!

... Is she using it as a Family Aspiration Failure flour sack baby?

Because I think I want that, that sounds awesome.

Haha, it seemed appropriate at the time. I just moved the flower bag out of the shot and OSMP'd the plant baby in her arms, though. It looks okay from this angle but it's really too small to align properly through most of the animation.

No. Words.
Hmm yes I'm just not sure I'd know how to use this, especially since I'm not a storyteller. It's creepy but there's something a little tiny bit cute about the potted one on the table peeking out?
Your choice!

Sounds good to me! Wouldn't you just love to have that in the corner of the room peeking out at you while you sleep? Now I'm just looking for a better pot, that's the hydrophonic one and it's kinda boring.

You know that hydroponic garden, the career reward? Make that with all little baby heads in it. Now that would be super duper creepy!

I have actually been figuring out whether I could make that work or not! I have all the meshes needed and it would be pretty cute if they could harvest a baby plantsim to sell or something. It's on my "to-try" list.

Is it terribly wrong I kinda want to cook it ... ?

Haha, that's pretty wrong. I think they're based on dragon fruit though, which is delicious.

Turning into a stick with leaves would be indeed the perfect disguise for a PI. Those bushes they are holding up to disguise themselves are a parody, at best. :D
I guess I'm the odd gal out because I don't think the plant baby is creepy at all. I just don't imagine it as a normal baby but a different lifeform. Also, I'm a 'Legend of Zelda' fan and they remind me a bit of the Deku Shrubs which I always found cute, despite them spitting nuts when threatened. :)
Relating to your question: I would prefer the baby in a pot, but like you I think the hydrophonic one is a bit too bland. When you want to use a Maxis match pot you could perhaps take the colorful cactus pots from Freetime. I, myself, especially like the half barrel pots from the Sims3 Pets expansion, but then, I'm the odd ball. :)

The FT cactus is exactly the pot I'm going for! We must be secretly psychic. I'll have to check out the pets pot, I can't recall which it is off the top of my head now.

Aww, deku shrubs! I'm a huge Zelda fan myself. I used to play it on the old Nintendo NES when I was in highschool and I bought a gameboy just so I could play the Minish Cap.

Good ol' Nintendo NES, I still have one standing around somewhere.
I've just bought a Nintendo 3DS just to play 'Ocarina of Time 3D' and I really hope they finally make up their mind to release 'Majora's Mask' as well. It's so comfortable to play in bed rather than in front of a TV. :)

It is, isn't it! I love having it on flights or trains when I'm traveling, even if people look at me a bit strangely because I'm 25. :D

I bought the gameboy mini *just* before the DS came out which was unfortunate, but that was years ago so I can probably get one now without feeling too silly. How is the 3DS?
