*HUGS* Just came back from the theater. I guess I'm still in shock. I knew who would die, but it was still so sad and heartbreaking. I'm so glad Bilbo and Thorin had that last powerful scene.

Now I need to read the novel again!

More later, I need sleep.

Are you gonna write a story for this? I need to read the book finally to see how far PJ has gotten away from it.

I don't know yet. I guess I'll have to see it again, but it's so expensive! There will be another screening in English next Sunday, but I think my purse will decide for me. :( Maybe I can come up with a little something that doesn't require too much detail. Can't wait to watch it again and again when the DVD comes out!

By the way, in the book Kili and Fili die protecting Thorin, so I'm a little mad Peter Jackson changed it.

Oh, I also loved that we finally saw Elrond fight! But where was he in the end? Still looking after Galadriel? And I thought they should have shown who became the new King under the Mountain, and what happened to Bard.

The one moment that really got to me was not Thorin dying (sniff), but when Bilbo told the other dwarves goodbye. Everyone was standing at the gate - but there were only ten of them where there were thirteen dwarves before! :'(

I know I won't go see it again. The false voices IRKED me SO MUCH!! When Kili yelled at Thorin, it felt so wrong. And Bilbo saying Thorin...well as you say it in German, it's just A R G lolol

I wrote something immediately yesterday and today, knowing it's so far AU that I didn't have to pay attention to much detail regarding the movie lol

BUT we got an EXODUS TRAILER!!! AWWWWW!!!! Next cinema date Dec 26th for me. Even though well, Christian got his Batman voice ....

more in private

I haven't seen it yet...it doesn't open here until Wednesday, so it'll probably be Friday before I can see it...but I hope I'm braced for what I know is coming.
I can't wait to see it...but I'm almost afraid to

Yes, that was the same for me! I was looking forward to it but was also afraid to see it and now it's over :(

It's worth watching but it also leaves things open! And lots and lots of fix it stories to write *sigh*

(sorry we can't set cuts in the comments!)

Yeah, someone needs to write stuff that happens in the years between The Hobbit and LOTR...I don't know if Jackson can get the rights to do something completely original in there...doesn't even have to include Tolkien's characters ;) but it would be fun IMO.

I'll probably see it more than once in the theater, because I'm a masochist that way.

If it would be in English, I'd see it several times too!! But as I said before, dubbed it is torture for me.

YES! That would be cool if we'd get another trilogy lol But I would love to see them all again, not new people...even though the new ones were a positive surprise to me :D Having some new fav actors in my collection now lol
