So, incredible happened - Jared won his nomination! Incredible not because he doesn't deserve it (he does! he does!) but because so often actors who truly deserve it don't win it. Focused? may be..... for me, it was somewhere between devastated and indifferent. Did you watch Colin when he was presenting one of the nominated movies later? He looked like he was giving speech at the funeral... One would think that if indeed something was wrong, he would be a good enough actor to hide the fact. Really strange.

I have been watching the news media to see how all this would go. I think he deserves all the awards hands down. I have seen some of the other movies, and other nominees, and yes, there is some great acting, but his portrayal as Rayon is outstanding. It is the kind of acting that deserves awards. It is one thing to "act" a character in a role, but to become another person, which he did, and has so often done in some of his films, requires something else, something quite outstanding as an artist. To me that is the difference between he and some of these other actors. They are actors, he is an artist.

Yes, he truly deserved his win and I hope he will win at Oscars too. He is a great actor and more often than not I wish he didn't have other talent.
