I was disabled by a car crash, (back is wasted) and it took years to learn to live with the pain. I know a little bit about what you are going through. The best advice I got on the subject was from a Jamaican guru - He said "the pain is yours, so make a friend and an enemy of it". "If he ain't there right now, keep an eye out - he'll be right back"
Sort of like The Grateful Dead's Friend of the devil is a friend of mine...
Excersize helps me a little, but not too strenuos stuff. A great massage might help too! I use my hot tub all the time also...
Yeah, I was in a car accident 7 years ago - and it fucked me up pretty bad.. so I know exactly what you're saying. I had to get deep tissue work done yesterday because my right leg was going numb and I was getting shooting pains. and I have pain killers, but I absolutely hate them.
I'm pretty good at living with the pain - but sometimes its just a little too much.
