*sigh* so here is my latest pagan dilemma… and I guess this happens to me every year around this time… in some form or another…

I think we should only do it every other year. The whole holiday thing. Of course, since the entire economy relies on it....

Or we should go back to celebrating it like they used to...big drunken mops going around to demand tribute and booze from the wealthy. Now THERE's something to look forward to!!!!!

Ok... Here comes your words of reason...

you TEACH your kids what your beliefs are but at the
same time, you are allowing them to form their own
opinion and their own beliefs.
Now, the best thing you can do, is to teach
them TOLERANCE..... and it is very TOLERANT to
allow them to learn and participate in everything
they can.
After all... what if one day, they decide they want to
follow some other "path"..... Wouldn't you want them
to be comfortable around their parents with their
new beliefs? Would you want them to still feel "accepted"?
Or would you want them to be afraid to share with you,
knowing how you never allowed them to participate in
those "other" religions?

Hugs...

Oh absolutly!
Which is why I wouldn't tell Jas she couldn't do silent night.
I wouldn't even try to disuade her. In fact- helped her practice.

This is really more about my own insecurities and knowing where "I" stand than where my kids go. I let them participate in anything and everything- sometimes to a fault, of course. Everyone knows that... Most people tell em that I let them do too much.

My dilemma is way more internal than I think I can properly can express...
