I had the exact opposite happen to me; I only had 3 wisdom teeth. This isn't terribly rare, but what happened next is. They removed my only lower wisdom tooth and, when they later went to remove the top ones, the x-ray showed that I had a tiny tooth growing where I should have had my fourth. My dental surgeon had never even heard of that.

Incidentally, general anesthetic is the way to go. Sabyr told me that he got local anesthetic when he had his wisdom teeth removed, and that it was the most painful experience of his life.

SCARY!!!!

That's part of the reason they are gunna knock me out. I'm a wimp, especially when it comes to my teeth. And I don't think they want me crying and screaming when they do this.
